About the position

The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for overseeing and managing the company's overall supply chain and logistics strategy and operations to maximize process efficiency and productivity. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, manufacturers, and customers to ensure a smooth and cost-effective flow of goods from raw materials to finished products.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic supply chain plans that align with the organization's objectives.
• Forecast future demand to ensure the availability of necessary supplies.
• Identify and select suppliers and manage supplier relationships.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues that arise.
• Determine optimal inventory levels to meet customer demand without overstocking.
• Manage the transportation of goods from suppliers to customers.
• Maintain positive relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and timely supply of goods.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
• Monitor supply chain performance and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 1-5 years of experience in supply chain management or a related role required.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills, including negotiation abilities.
• Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
• Knowledge of industry best practices and regulations.
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Nice-to-haves

• Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM).
• Netsuite or similar ERP experience.
• Experience with advanced analytics and logistics software.
• Knowledge of sustainability practices in supply chain management.
