About the position

The Supply Chain Subcontracts Specialist at Northrop Grumman is responsible for sourcing and procuring complex goods and services, managing the entire subcontract lifecycle from proposal evaluation to closeout. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulations and to drive supplier performance in support of U.S. Government programs. The position offers opportunities for hybrid work and is situated within a dynamic team focused on defense technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Source and procure complex, specialized goods and services.
  • Manage subcontract sourcing, proposal evaluation, negotiation, award, execution, administration, and closeout phases.
  • Assess supplier performance and communicate feedback to Supplier Leadership.
  • Manage supplier performance throughout the subcontracting lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and company policies.
  • Identify strategies to reduce costs and improve efficiency through negotiations.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to Program Risk and Opportunity management.
  • Utilize Lean Six Sigma tools to drive quality and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with at least 2 years of experience in subcontracts management, or 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with SAP or related business application software.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD secret clearance.
  • For Level 3: Bachelor's Degree with at least 5 years of experience or a Master's Degree with at least 3 years of experience, or 9 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Familiarity with FAR and DFARS regulations.
