About the position
The Supply Chain Technician position at Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital is responsible for performing essential inventory-related tasks within Supply Chain Management. Responsibilities
- Perform physical inventory-related tasks in Supply Chain Management.
- Deliver supply and equipment orders to various departments.
- Stock and rotate supplies, ensuring expiration dates are checked.
- Remove excess inventory and clean clinical equipment as needed.
- Interact with co-workers and customers in a supportive manner to promote outstanding service.
- Assess and monitor supply and equipment inventory levels according to schedules.
- Physically receive stock requests and deliver supplies efficiently.
- Inspect and audit supply deliveries based on department standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical supply areas.
- Complete all Supply Chain transactions accurately within tracking systems.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- One year of experience preferred in Healthcare, Supply Chain, or Materials Management.
- Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and co-workers.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and sterile supply processes.
