About the position
The Supply Chain Technician at Medical City Las Colinas is responsible for managing the supply chain operations within the facility. This includes receiving, distributing, and maintaining inventory levels of supplies, ensuring timely delivery, and conducting physical inventories. The role is crucial for supporting the healthcare operations by ensuring that all necessary supplies are available and properly managed.
Responsibilities
- Deliver supplies in an accurate and timely manner
- Transport and deliver legend drugs, non-prescription drugs, contrast media, and drug-containing devices as authorized
- Place safety stock in proper locations
- Receive expedited deliveries and accurately key receiving into the SMART system
- Review Min/Max for storeroom safety stock daily and place orders appropriately
- Count par level areas weekly according to schedule
- Ensure POU items have the appropriate barcodes
- Perform QA random checks on totes per approved policy
- Rotate stock in POU areas and backup storeroom areas
- Check after-hour logs for charges and determine how to avoid reoccurrence
- React appropriately to POU 'critical point' messages and stock outs
- Process all 'returns to vendor' or 'returns to backup stock' appropriately
- Provide assistance to the POU Station personnel and nurse's stations
Requirements
- High School Graduate / GED
- Previous stock clerk experience preferred
- Some hospital supply experience preferred
