About the position
The Supply Chain Technician at Lutheran Hospital is responsible for managing supply activities, ensuring that necessary supplies are available and delivered efficiently to support healthcare operations. This role involves checking inventory levels, delivering supplies, and maintaining organized storage areas to facilitate quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Check par levels of specified areas
- Deliver supplies to replenish par levels
- Fill and deliver requisition requests
- Replenish Code Carts
- Key activities into the Purchasing Inventory System
- Assist in receiving, tagging, and stocking supplies in designated storage areas
- Maintain clean and orderly storage areas
Requirements
- Some post-secondary education is preferred
- Ability to read and write the equivalent of eighth grade English
- Two years of Supply Chain and/or Medical Supplies Buyer experience in a healthcare setting is strongly preferred
- Advanced mathematical ability related to healthcare inventory
- Understanding of the Supply Chain Technician function in delivering quality patient care
