About the position

The Supply Chain Technician is responsible for managing inventory in assigned Nursing and Ancillary units, focusing on supply replenishment, quality maximization, cost minimization, and supporting departmental goals within the system's supply chain objectives. This role serves as a liaison between various departments to ensure effective communication and management of product lines, while also maintaining appropriate inventory levels to reduce waste and obsolescence.

Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory in assigned Nursing and Ancillary units related to supply replenishment.
  • Serve as a liaison to Nursing, Ancillary, and Procedure Based departments.
  • Ensure existing inventory and associated expenses are within budgeted targets.
  • Control consumable supplies to reduce obsolescence, outdates, and waste.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels based on PAR Optimization calculations and product rotation.
  • Manage replenishment orders, returns, recalls, and product conversions.
  • Coordinate and perform scheduled physical and cycle count inventories.
  • Analyze inventory outcomes and adjust levels as necessary.
  • Perform general warehouse duties as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Beginner use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PeopleSoft preferred.
  • 1-2 years of customer service or warehousing experience preferred.
