About the position

The Supply Chain Technician at SSM Health is responsible for receiving, sorting, and distributing supplies and equipment to various customer locations. This role ensures that inventory management activities are performed efficiently and effectively, contributing to the overall operational success of the hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Receives, sorts, and distributes all supplies and equipment to various customer locations.
  • Performs functions of supply stocking, receiving, inventory management, distribution, and customer service.
  • Works with customers to address supply-related issues.
  • Takes inventory and orders supplies as needed.
  • Maintains accurate records to determine the status of orders.
  • Receives all supplies and completes necessary computer or paperwork.
  • Operates computer systems and applications for inventory management.
  • Communicates the status of supply orders within and among departments.
  • Fills all orders for customers in a timely manner.
  • Informs leadership of any supply backorders or problems.
  • Operates warehouse equipment as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to operate computer systems and applications.
  • Strong communication skills to address supply-related issues.
