About the position

HCA Florida Capital Hospital is seeking a dedicated Supply Chain Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all supplies are received, keyed, and distributed promptly within the facility. This position is crucial in maintaining the efficiency of our operations and supporting our mission to provide high-quality patient care. You will be tasked with reviewing and maintaining Min/Max levels for storeroom safety stock and other stocking locations, ensuring that we have the necessary supplies available at all times. Additionally, you will conduct physical inventories of all Point of Use (POU) areas according to a defined schedule, which is essential for accurate inventory management and supply chain efficiency. As a Supply Chain Technician, you will deliver supplies accurately and in a timely manner, and you will be authorized to transport and deliver legend drugs, non-prescription drugs, contrast media, and drug-containing devices as per the core competencies of your position. Your responsibilities will also include placing safety stock in the proper locations, receiving expedited deliveries, accurately keying receiving into the SMART system, and delivering to the appropriate departments. You will review Min/Max levels for storeroom safety stock daily and place orders as needed, ensuring that all POU items have the appropriate barcodes and that stock is rotated to prevent expiration. This position requires a proactive approach to managing supplies and responding to critical point messages and stock outs. You will also be responsible for processing returns to vendors or backup stock appropriately and providing assistance to POU Station personnel, as well as addressing any questions or concerns from nursing staff. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to supporting our healthcare team in delivering exceptional patient care.
