About the position

The Supply Chain Technician position at GDIT is a full-time role based in Point Mugu, California, focused on supporting the MCSIL program. The technician will collaborate with procurement, supply chain, and production engineers to manage the flow of components for production builds, ensuring efficient tracking and documentation of materials. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain processes and software tools, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with procurement, supply chain, and production engineers to support tracking and flow of components for production builds.
  • Update and manage the program's knowledge base regularly.
  • Load tickets from Procurement Board and upload copies to Confluence.
  • Update line items upon receipt and maintain the inventory database.
  • Manage production build books and update parts kitted as issued in the database.
  • Flag shortages and manage kits ready for pickup during weekly meetings with Production PO.
  • Write up processes and procedures, including creating flow charts and detailed instruction lists.
  • Prepare for deployment readiness meetings as the point of contact for classified shipments.
  • Assist with kitting and tracking Field Service equipment.
  • Ensure all classified items are correctly labeled and secured for shipping.
  • Create unclassified and classified transmittals and schedule shipments with freight carriers.
  • Receive packages and verify materials against Purchase Requests, ensuring proper documentation for acceptance testing.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of related experience in supply chain or procurement roles.
  • Current Secret Clearance preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence software.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems.
