About the position

The Supply Chain Transformation Senior Manager will play a critical role in supporting, transforming, and modernizing our global supply chain technology platforms. This position involves working closely with cross-functional teams and IT departments to drive global supply chain enhancement and transformation projects to successful completion, ensuring both financial benefits and user satisfaction. The role requires a strategic mindset to analyze the impact of digital technology projects on the business, including stakeholders, policies, and processes. The successful candidate will collaborate with supply chain leadership to identify transformation opportunities and help develop a comprehensive supply chain technology roadmap. In this role, the Supply Chain Transformation Senior Manager will lead initiatives with minimal oversight, supporting the design, development, delivery, and management of system and process enhancement initiatives driven by leadership strategy. The position also involves driving innovation identification and applicability that enhances efficiencies and financial returns. The manager will be responsible for identifying and planning process optimization opportunities where technology can enable and drive efficiencies. As a change adoption ambassador, the individual will promote positive change engagement across supply chain and cross-functional teams. The role requires providing functional subject matter expertise within procurement and ERP system integration and data harmonization engagements. The manager will build and communicate project ROI and benefit analysis to senior leadership, assist in artificial intelligence and machine learning use case development, and manage Procurement COE IT systems projects. This includes providing technical and operational expertise on system design and conversion, process engineering, continuous process improvement, and compliance. The manager will also lead a multi-disciplined team in developing and mapping IT business process solutions, ensuring that all procurement business system controls, audits, and compliance are effectively managed to support Amentum's business system objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead supply chain technology & process transformation initiatives with minimal oversight.
  • Support the design, development, delivery and management of system & process enhancement initiatives driven by leadership strategy.
  • Analyze the impact on the business, including the stakeholders, policies and processes, of any digital technology project or initiative.
  • Work with supply chain leadership to identify transformation opportunities and help develop supply chain technology roadmap.
  • Drive innovation identification and applicability that drives efficiencies and financial returns.
  • Identification and planning of process optimization opportunities where technology can enable and drive process efficiencies.
  • Be a change adoption ambassador and drive positive change engagement across supply chain and cross functional teams.
  • Provide functional subject matter expertise within procurement and ERP system integration and data harmonization engagements.
  • Build and communicate project ROI and benefit analysis to senior leadership.
  • Assist in artificial intelligence and machine learning use case development that will drive supply chain system future strategy opportunities.
  • Manage Procurement COE IT systems projects, providing technical and operational expertise on system design and conversion, process engineering and optimization, continuous process improvement, database maintenance, data field maintenance, automated controls and metrics, compliance, organized document storage/filing, work flow, reporting, maintaining a data repository, and maintaining standards for processes & procedures.
  • Manage the Procurement Enterprise system including configuration, technical documentation, security, monitoring and metrics reporting, and the direct management of staff supporting these areas.
  • Utilize lean process and technology to refine and streamline Procurement organization, transforming practices to more effective and efficient business solutions.
  • Lead a multi-disciplined team in development and mapping of IT Business process solutions; interact within and between COEs and other stakeholders at all levels to understand business needs and vision, document requirements, and translate into system requirement specifications.
  • Provide oversight and management of all procurement business system controls, audits, and compliance to ensure automation of sustainment of business processes supporting Amentum business system objectives.
  • Develop system-wide procurement information tools, ensuring satisfaction of COE, company, and internal customer objectives.
  • Implement streamlined and efficient solutions for SharePoint, leveraging analytic tools to provide meaningful data and reports for utilization by Procurement and other stakeholders.
  • Remain abreast of regulatory and reporting requirements and manage the process for updating enhancing the Procurement COEs applications to meet these requirements.
  • Benchmark and analyze monitoring reports and make recommendations of improvements to IT system and manual processes.

Requirements

  • Typically, twelve (12) years of experience in a combination of IT business systems, business analysis methodology, and enterprise-wide application development life cycle; experience with Procurement or Materials Management Information systems preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or an associated discipline. 8 years of experience required with an advanced degree. Two years of related work experience may be substituted for each year of the degree requirement.
  • Three (3) years of experience managing teams or in a management role is required.
  • Five (5) years of experience with four or more of the following technologies: SharePoint, ASP.NET, MSSQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XSLT, AJAX.
  • Working knowledge of inventory management solutions including IBM Maximo.
  • Configuration and design development experience with eBusiness solutions such as Microsoft 365 professional suite (power BI, power automate, power apps).
  • US Citizenship is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Lean Six Sigma Belt desired.
  • Extensive experience with ERP and procurement software to include data structure, configuration management and system controls. Deltek Costpoint a plus.
