About the position

The position involves maintaining and controlling key inventories of caskets, urns, and general supplies while supporting various departments within the company. The role requires problem-solving skills for product ordering issues and involves physical labor in a warehouse environment, including operating a forklift and delivering supplies throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

• Order, inventory, and stage caskets and urns for use.
• Problem solve product ordering issues, including order system issues and product unavailability.
• Operate Mail Meter and sort, process, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.
• Drive mail cart throughout the facility for deliveries.
• Operate forklift to load/unload supplies in the warehouse.
• Report preventive maintenance needs to avoid equipment breakdown.
• Maintain and organize warehouse inventory.
• Receive and inspect goods in accordance with company controls.
• Inventory and distribute incoming supplies.
• Drive company cars and vans as needed.
• Multi-task, set priorities, and organize work effectively.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, rules, and controls.
• Report unsafe practices to management.
• Act on customer complaints to provide satisfactory resolution.
• Participate in cross-training and skill development opportunities.
• Report to work on time and maintain standard attendance.
• Work on other projects as directed by management.

Requirements

• Two years in shipping, receiving, and inventory experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to operate mail meter.
• Ability to operate and drive mail utility cart.
• Forklift operator certification.
• CA Driver's License.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Outlook.
