About the position

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing warehouse inventory practices for raw materials and finished goods across multiple production lines. This hands-on role involves managing material handling through ERP and scanning technologies, conducting precise daily cycle counts, and analyzing product movement. The position also includes leading and supervising inventory projects aimed at developing, implementing, and continuously improving inventory accuracy across operations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment
  • Perform cycle counts as required
  • Utilize RF scan device for all functions
  • Create, communicate and maintain SOP and SWI around inventory control process
  • Sort and store products in designated locations within the warehouse
  • Read and understand packing lists, bills of lading, and shipping and receiving instructions
  • Complete paperwork and label requirements for shipment
  • Handle material appropriately according to methods of material handling
  • Understand department product codes and shipping requirements
  • Unpack, examine and route incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shippers to rectify damages and shortages
  • Receive and process all defective parts returned for replacement or credit
  • Perform all computer functions necessary to move product through ERP and scanning technology
  • Operate tow motor
  • Report defective material or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Receive incoming shipments, verify contents, and check for damages
  • Assist with picking and packing orders based on customer requirements
  • Operate basic warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record
  • Minimum of one year experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Prior experience in shipping and/or receiving department
  • Ability to be certified as Licensed Forklift Truck Operator/Tow Motor Operator
  • Intermediate computer skills
