About the position

The Supply Demand Planner at Intuitive plays a crucial role in the SIOP planning process, leveraging analytical skills and supply chain experience to develop demand and supply plans that meet customer needs while maintaining inventory targets. This position involves collaboration across various departments to enhance forecasting accuracy and operational efficiency, ultimately contributing to the company's mission of advancing minimally invasive care.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and participate in cross-functional team meetings/SIOP process to develop best in class demand plan and optimum supply plan
  • Facilitate and drive collaboration with Marketing, Sales Operations, Finance team members to develop monthly/quarterly forecasts over mid-term and long-term
  • Partner with NPI/Engineering/Marketing teams to understand product lifecycle/buffer strategy, develop robust plans for new product launches and product end of life (EOL) planning
  • Review and improve statistical forecasting models to enhance forecast accuracy on demand plans
  • Analyze data output, historical shipments, procedure data, and consumption to identify issues leading to sub-optimal output and their root causes
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, planning, regulatory, and facilities teams to drive buffer strategies and plan for regulatory restrictions
  • Manage safety stock/inventory targets for various regions/plants
  • Develop capacity and material constrained build plans through cross-functional collaboration
  • Conduct scenario planning through different demand and supply scenarios and articulate the impact of various options
  • Represent product families and present relevant data/charts in cross-functional SIOP meetings
  • Monitor performance to plan and drive corrective actions/mitigation plans
  • Drive improvements to Key Performance Indicators such as Forecast accuracy, First Pass Fill Rate, and Finished Goods Inventory Attainment through root-cause analysis and collaboration
  • Participate in projects to improve operational efficiency/profitability goals
  • Resolve and troubleshoot SAP (MPS/MRP) issues and support IT issues/projects in SAP/o9.

Requirements

  • Minimum MS/MBA with 4+ years relevant experience; Degree in Engineering, Math/Finance, Operations Research, Supply Chain highly preferred
  • Minimum BS with 6+ years relevant experience; Degree in Supply Chain, Operations Research, Finance, IE, Engineering highly preferred
  • Analytical rigor/Data/problem-solving skills
  • Supply Chain/Planning Domain experience
  • Product Life-cycle Management experience (New product introduction, End of Sale)
  • Intermediate level in MS Office applications - Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with Advanced Planning applications and/or ERP applications to create scalable processes
  • Leadership, communication, and executive presentation skills to share insights and gain consensus.
