We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Supply/Demand Planner to join our team. This role is a blend of both supply and demand planning, with a focus on supporting the entire process from forecasting to inventory management. The Supply/Demand Planner will review sales forecasts, recommend inventory buys, place and manage orders, and ensure timely product availability. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both demand and supply planning, strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and experience working with ERP/MRP systems. In this position, you will develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for products using historical data, market trends, and business insights. You will collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to gather information, improve forecast accuracy, and adjust forecasts based on trends and forecasting tools. Additionally, you will review sales forecasts and recommend inventory buys to support anticipated demand, place and manage purchase orders, and ensure orders are tracked and managed through to receipt in the warehouse and sometimes through to shipment. Monitoring and analyzing demand and supply patterns to identify trends, risks, and opportunities will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will optimize inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess stock and obsolescence. Working closely with supply chain and procurement teams, you will ensure timely product availability and manage any supply chain disruptions. Utilizing ERP/MRP systems to manage demand and supply planning processes and maintain accurate data will also be essential. You will prepare and present planning reports to management, providing insights and recommendations, and continuously improve planning processes and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
