About the position

The position involves participating in the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process at Intuitive, focusing on demand and supply planning to meet customer needs while maintaining inventory targets. The role requires analytical skills and experience in manufacturing or supply chain management, with an emphasis on leveraging large data sets to compute plans and improve operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and participate in cross-functional team meetings/SIOP process to develop best in class demand plan and optimum supply plan.
  • Facilitate and drive collaboration with Marketing, Sales Operations, and Finance to develop monthly/quarterly forecasts.
  • Partner with NPI/Engineering/Marketing teams to understand product lifecycle and develop plans for new product launches and end-of-life planning.
  • Review and improve statistical forecasting models to enhance forecast accuracy.
  • Analyze data output, historical shipments, and consumption to identify necessary modifications based on product segmentation.
  • Use data-driven analysis to identify issues leading to sub-optimal output and their root causes.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, planning, regulatory, and facilities teams to manage buffer strategies and regulatory restrictions.
  • Manage safety stock and inventory targets for various regions and plants.
  • Develop capacity and material constrained build plans through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Conduct scenario planning through different demand and supply scenarios and articulate options and impacts.
  • Represent product families and present relevant data in cross-functional SIOP meetings.
  • Monitor performance to plan and drive corrective actions to improve key performance indicators.

Requirements

  • Minimum MS/MBA with 4+ years relevant experience; Degree in Engineering, Math/Finance, Operations Research, or Supply Chain preferred.
  • Minimum BS with 6+ years relevant experience; Degree in Supply Chain, Operations Research, Finance, IE, or Engineering preferred.
  • Strong analytical rigor and data/problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in Supply Chain/Planning domain.
  • Knowledge of Product Life-cycle Management (New product introduction, End of Sale).
  • Intermediate level in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with Advanced Planning applications and/or ERP applications.
