About the position

The Supply Management Specialist will serve in the NAVSUP HQ SUP042 Planning Division, focusing on the missions and operations of Navy shore and afloat activities. This role involves applying Navy supply policies and procedures to implement business processes within Navy ERP and other logistics IT systems, while responding to urgent obligations from various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply Navy supply chain management policies and procedures.
• Implement business processes incorporated into Navy ERP and other Department of Navy Logistics IT Systems.
• React quickly to pressing obligations generated from customers and senior management.
• Participate as an expert authority in NAVSUP wholesale planning execution and related business processes.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-13 level.
• Comprehensive knowledge in end-to-end supply chain management concepts and principles.
• Ability to review, modify, and develop policy.
• Gather and utilize information to determine business requirements and fit to Navy LOGIT solutions.
• Develop reports, metrics, and other data deliverables using database tools such as SAS.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in federal employment or military spouse preference eligibility.
• Knowledge of the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA).
