We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Supply Operations Manager to support our development teams and contract manufacturing partners in the sourcing of Direct Supply Chain parts of Interior, including Headliner, Sunvisor, Rear View Mirror, and Hard Trims. This role is crucial for ensuring that the parts related to various Tesla models, such as Model S, Model X, Model 3, Model Y, Semi Truck, Cyber Truck, and other New Product Introduction (NPI) programs, are sourced effectively. The Supply Operations Manager will report to the Supply Chain Group Manager and will also serve as an active sourcing resource for various Engineering groups within Tesla. In this role, you will be the owner of Requests for Quotes (RFQs), ensuring that all commercial terms are agreed upon and documented. This includes negotiating Non-Disclosure Agreements, General Terms & Conditions, Piece Price Agreements, and other related contracts before business initiation. You will drive the piece price and tooling negotiation process to ensure that Tesla's commodity pricing meets best-in-class expectations while adhering to supplier industrialization standards of quality. Additionally, you will be responsible for driving continual cost reduction and avoidance initiatives through periodic price negotiations. Monitoring global industry trends and tracking technology roadmaps will be part of your responsibilities, as well as actively partnering with Design teams to identify and mitigate supply and demand challenges. You will manage supplier relationships and performance, which includes dispute resolution, supplier scorecards, and conducting periodic business reviews. Effective communication with technical stakeholders, both internally and externally, is essential. Leading cross-functional teams to manage project timelines will be a key aspect of your role. You will develop and maintain action trackers and Gantt charts to ensure on-time delivery of supplier parts against program timing. Building and maintaining relationships with cross-functional teams, including Design Engineers, Supply Chain Program Managers (SCPM), New Product Introduction (NPI) teams, and Logistics, will be crucial for influencing timely decisions that support Tesla's mission. You will also communicate key supply, cost, and quality issues with management teams and develop corrective action plans to mitigate identified risks.
