About the position

The Supply Planning Summer/Fall Co-Op at Skyworks is an internship opportunity designed for students pursuing a degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or Analytics. The intern will work closely with the supply chain planning team, gaining exposure to full-cycle supply chain planning and learning to identify and mitigate risks in a high-volume supply chain environment. This role emphasizes continuous improvement, effective communication, and collaboration across various teams to support the supply chain's core business processes.

Responsibilities

• Work on continuous improvement projects related to the supply chain team's core business processes.
• Analyze data to identify risks to the continuous supply plan and the ability to meet required schedules.
• Follow up with necessary teams (sourcing, manufacturing sites, warehouse, logistics, etc.) to ensure appropriate scheduling of raw materials to targeted subassembly and final test sites.
• Monitor performance of operations, sourcing, and supply planning as related to demand and financial targets.
• Communicate effectively and proactively, engaging stakeholders across the organization to facilitate NPI launch, supply allocation, and expedites as needed.

Requirements

• Must be a student enrolled in a university making forward progress towards a BS/BA degree, preferably majoring in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or Analytics.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into high-level analysis and supply planning.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems as needed.
• Strong statistical and mathematical abilities, as well as algorithmic modeling capabilities.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous knowledge of MRP/ERP and planning processes is a plus.
• Knowledge of different fulfillment models.
