About the position

The Supply Receiving and Inventory Clerk at Surlean Foods is responsible for managing the receipt, inventory, and distribution of materials, tools, equipment, and products within the company's supply warehouse. This role requires attention to detail, effective communication, and adherence to safety protocols while ensuring the warehouse is organized and accessible.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inventory materials, tools, equipment, and products in the supply warehouse.
• Utilize CMMS software efficiently to manage daily deliveries.
• Communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and electronically.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and accessible warehouse environment.
• Organize the warehouse and work area for orderliness.
• Collaborate with Supply Clerks to expedite deliveries and address inventory discrepancies.
• Label shipments accurately with relevant information such as Purchase Order Number and Work Order date.
• Inspect received contents for accuracy and damage.
• Communicate with shippers or suppliers regarding delivery mistakes.
• Manage returns of unsatisfactory shipments and ensure proper labeling and allocation.
• Record amounts of materials received or distributed using the CMMS system.
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three months or more of related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
