About the position

The Supply Systems Analyst will serve as a senior analyst and Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the Systems Support Division of NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support. This role involves providing IT and business analysis support, addressing supply chain issues, and ensuring the effective operation of the Navy's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. The analyst will collaborate with various teams to resolve data-related problems and enhance supply chain management processes.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and solve supply and supply chain problems for the Navy ERP system.
  • Provide assistance to the Department Director and Deputy Director regarding policy inquiries related to supply chain management.
  • Offer customer support to explain ERP system operations and research unexpected results.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and technical teams in the implementation and sustainment of data analytics within Navy ERP and external software.
  • Direct and coordinate team efforts to ensure data and report requirements align with strategic plans.
  • Provide expertise on all aspects of Supply Planning or Inventory Management.
  • Execute organizational projects aimed at improving efficiency and increasing overall readiness.
  • Analyze and summarize significant data issues and communicate findings to upper management.
  • Develop and provide training to customers on ERP system functionalities.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level.
  • Experience directing and coordinating team efforts to meet data and reporting requirements.
  • Expertise in Supply Planning or Inventory Management.
  • Ability to collaborate with technical and functional teams to resolve issues.
  • Experience executing projects to improve efficiency and readiness.
  • Strong analytical skills to summarize data issues and trends.
  • Experience in developing and providing training to users.
  • Ability to gather and develop systemic requirements for future changes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Navy ERP and data analytics tools such as SAS.
  • Knowledge of federal employment regulations and policies.
