About the position
The Supply Teacher for Language Arts serves as a substitute teacher in the absence of the regular classroom teacher, ensuring that students continue to receive instruction and support in their learning environment. This role involves managing the classroom, providing instruction, and maintaining communication with parents and school administration.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance
- Manages classroom and provides instruction to students
- Uses appropriate behavior management strategies
- Compiles, maintains, and submits required records
- Promotes the responsible use of materials and equipment
- Maintains prompt and professional communication with parents
- Performs other duties as assigned by appropriate administrator
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree required; prefer applicant to have major in specific content area posted on job vacancy
