About the position

The Supply Technician, Lead (CIF) position at Akima involves overseeing supply operations within the Central Issue Facility (CIF), including inventory management, property accountability, and customer support functions. The role requires a strong understanding of supply systems and the ability to lead a team in logistics operations, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate supply operations within the CIF, including receipt, storage, issue, and record management.
• Perform inventory management and control of materials and supplies.
• Manage the E-Ordering process and oversee the loading and unloading of stock.
• Research and analyze problems to determine root causes and recommend solutions.
• Provide guidance and supervision to General Clerks, Shipping Packers, Truck Drivers, Stock Clerks, and Warehouse Specialists.
• Conduct training and employee evaluations in coordination with the supervisor.
• Enforce safety regulations and implement organizational changes as needed.
• Perform other administrative tasks as determined by the CIF Supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience in logistics, automation, or supply management.
• Two years of supervisory experience in a leadership position.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Must possess and maintain a current State of Colorado Driver's License.
• Military or equivalent civilian training in the Army Supply System / ISM-CIF is necessary.
