About the position

The Supply Technician (Office Automation) position within the Department of Defense is responsible for managing property hand receipts and logistics planning for excess equipment. The role involves identifying shortages, preparing property reports, and resolving discrepancies in supply management. This position requires a strong understanding of supply chain processes and the ability to utilize automated systems for inventory management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage designated UIC Property Hand Receipt in GCSS-A.
  • Serve as the logistics planner for excess equipment disposition.
  • Identify shortages and prepare property reports for the LNEC Director.
  • Resolve discrepancies using supply adjustment procedures such as AAR and eFLIPL.
  • Prepare recurring monthly trackers and special reports for identified excess turn-in.

Requirements

  • Must maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to obtain and retain a SECRET security clearance.
  • Experience in performing physical inventory checks and utilizing automated systems for supply management.
  • Proficiency in typing at least 40 words per minute with minimal errors.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in supply management within a military or government context.
  • Familiarity with the Department of Defense supply chain processes.
