About the position

The Supply Technician position at Sierra Army Depot involves managing supply operations, including data entry, record maintenance, and preparing requests for materials and services. The role is essential for ensuring accurate inventory management and supporting logistical operations within the Army's framework. This position is temporary, with the potential for extension, and requires a valid driver's license and the ability to travel occasionally for business purposes.

Responsibilities

  • Operate computers to perform record searches, data input, and data corrections.
  • Prepare requests for parts, materials, or services.
  • Maintain specified sets of accurate records in general supply operations.
  • Provide cost estimates of supplies or materials for anticipated work orders.

Requirements

  • One year of specialized experience in supply operations, including researching data for discrepancies, maintaining inventory records, and utilizing supply systems for data input.
  • Successfully completed one full academic year of graduate-level education in a relevant field, or a combination of education and experience that totals at least 100% of the requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency in typing at least 40 words per minute with minimal errors.
