About the position

The Supply Technician position at the Martin Army Community Hospital involves managing supply operations, including the acquisition of repair parts, overseeing service contracts, and maintaining inventory. The role is critical for ensuring the efficient distribution of supplies and services within the healthcare facility, while also assisting with budget formulation and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Develop plans and procedures for improving processes or correcting deficiencies of supply operations.
  • Perform supply activities such as receiving, storing, transferring, and issuing supply items for the department.
  • Review demand history for stocked items to determine appropriate requisitioning objectives.
  • Serve as primary point of contact and control of all requests for services and repair parts.
  • Serve as Government Purchase Card holder for the Healthcare Technology Management section.
  • Utilize a computer to input document information, update database, and retrieve document registers for inventory, budget, or contract information.

Requirements

  • One year of specialized experience in supply operations, including utilizing automated systems to maintain and track purchase card transactions, submitting requests for service repairs, and maintaining inventory and supply accountability.
  • Proficiency in typing at least 40 words per minute with three or fewer errors.
