About the position

The Supply Technician position at the Southern Pines Inn is a full-time role responsible for managing expendable and nonexpendable supply equipment items for lodging services. The technician will oversee stock control, requisitioning, delivery, and inventory management to ensure adequate supplies are available for operations. This position requires a pre-employment physical and drug test, and it is essential to maintain safety and security standards for inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Manage expendable and nonexpendable supply equipment items for lodging services.
• Analyze usage rates, inventory, seasonal demands, and prices to determine stock requirements.
• Establish and maintain minimum stock levels to prevent work stoppage.
• Manage stocks of perishable items to ensure timely usage before expiration dates.
• Maintain security of high-value items subject to pilferage.
• Perform pickup and delivery of supplies and equipment at scheduled intervals.
• Salvage broken or obsolete supplies and equipment according to policies.
• Maintain an accurate accounting and reporting system for nonexpendable property.
• Perform routine phases of property management according to established policies.
• Ensure maintenance and preventive maintenance on all warehousing equipment.

Requirements

• Progressively responsible experience in supply work with knowledge of local supply organization rules and procedures.
• Knowledge of supply inventory and accountability procedures.
• Ability to apply basic analytical methods to resolve supply problems.
• Typing skills and ability to communicate orally and in writing.
• Must possess a valid NC Drivers License.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
