About the position

The Supply Technician (SPEAR) plays a vital role in supporting the Department of State (DoS) by managing logistical and warehouse operations. This position involves organizing and distributing equipment to host nation quick response forces to counter threats against DoS diplomatic facilities in high-threat environments. The role requires an active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one, along with significant logistics and supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, store, and manage inventory efficiently.
  • Prepare equipment for international shipment, ensuring compliance with U.S., international, and host nation regulations (including ITAR, EAR, and dangerous goods certifications).
  • Motivate and organize the project team to achieve productivity targets.
  • Teach, train, and coach team members in adherence to contractual requirements and SOPs.
  • Review and recommend improvements to SOPs and operational processes annually.
  • Collaborate with other managers to enhance interdepartmental activities.
  • Maintain shipping records and perform account reconciliation.
  • Prepare, update, and maintain shipments in WISE and EWISE inventory applications, including running and tracking shipment orders.
  • Ensure accurate daily activity recording in SharePoint database.
  • Utilize QuickBooks to post funding and spending activity, including preparation of AP vouchers and monthly reports.
  • Develop plans focusing on obsolescence reduction and optimization of personnel and resources.
  • Ensure inventory operations comply with all contractual requirements, safety regulations, SOPs, and company policies.
  • Plan and execute monthly cycle counts and annual physical inventories.
  • Participate as a member of the CNSL-ATA Royal 4 WISE working group.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • 4 years of experience in warehousing and logistics support, with 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
  • Familiarity with Royal 4 WISE Warehouse Management System (WMS) is a plus.
  • Strong multi-tasking ability between concurrent work orders and projects.
  • Meticulous attention to detail for compliant and accurate reporting.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines and practices.
  • Must meet physical requirements, including the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain forklift operator certification within 60 days of hire.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain dangerous goods certification.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
