About the position

You will serve as a Supply Technician in the Quality Assurance Branch (TRF-512) Control Division (TRF-510), Supply Department (TRF-500), TRIDENT Refit Facility (TRIREFFAC), Kings Bay, Georgia of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing daily, month and annual location audits using Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) and locally developed programs.
  • Planning and calling out location surveys of supply materials from computer generated listings received.
  • Determining discrepancies between the N-ERP Master Stock File and physical location of materials.
  • Assigning error codes for all discrepancies.
  • Analyzing problems associated with any computer input and output and reporting problems to next line supervisors.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
  • Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites.
  • Must be able to maintain an Information Technology Level II certification.
  • This is a Mission Essential position.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience performing scheduled and unscheduled audits and reconciliation on stock material processes and stock records, utilizing both N-ERP and locally developed programs.
  • Experience analyzing and reconciling material and documentation discrepancies with the objective of eliminating root cause of errors.
  • Experience researching and investigating selected processes to determine adherence with directives.
  • Experience coordinating or researching N-ERP records and coordinating action related to supply discrepancy records (SDR's).
  • Experience performing quality control tasks required to ensure the quality of supply processes.
