About the position

The Support Associate IV position at CGI Group, Inc. involves providing clerical and administrative support to the customer service and adjudication departments under the supervision of the Contract Management Team. The role includes processing passport applications, performing quality checks, and assisting with customer inquiries, while ensuring compliance with government regulations. This position requires U.S. Citizenship due to government contract requirements and involves working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on accuracy and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Perform various clerical and repetitive manual functions to support customer service and adjudication departments.
  • Utilize office equipment and machinery for the preparation, processing, and mailing of passports and related documents.
  • Conduct quality checks for standard fee information on individual applications.
  • Assist the Government Customer Service Manager with inquiries from Congress and other government agencies.
  • Maintain applications with potentially fraudulent birth documents and provide research and recommendations.
  • Train lower-level Support Associates in essential job functions.
  • Operate equipment for high-speed scanning and mail processing.
  • Generate mailing labels and ensure accuracy in document handling.
  • Interface with passport applicants and ensure compliance with application requirements.
  • Conduct research on passport cases and provide recommended findings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of experience as a Support Associate Level II or III or 4 years of experience in a high-volume data entry environment.
  • Six years of general office experience, including four years of experience with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and ability to perform repetitive tasks with high accuracy.
  • Ability to multi-task and pay attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to U.S. Passport eligibility and issuance.
