About the position
The Support Engineer role at Amazon involves being part of the Global Operational Excellence team, focusing on deploying, supporting, and maintaining software solutions that connect low-level automation systems with the cloud. This position plays a crucial role in enhancing the Overall Equipment Effectiveness of installations and contributes to the transition towards Industry 4.0. The role offers the opportunity to work with top engineers in the field and to support automation and machine learning systems within Amazon's extensive fulfillment network.
Responsibilities
- Review and test software solutions and new functionalities to ensure they are 100% error-free and ready for production.
- Deploy software solutions to production facilities, either remotely or on-site.
- Be part of a network that supports customers 24/7.
- Manage trouble tickets to resolution or escalation using existing documentation, procedures, and tools.
- Maintain products and systems and perform change management activities using existing documentation or with support from peers.
- Identify improvements to existing support processes and contribute to support documentation updates and creation.
Requirements
- 2+ years of software development or technical support experience.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems.
- Experience in Unix.
- Experience scripting in modern programming languages.
- High school or equivalent diploma.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with AWS, networks, and operating systems.
