About the position

The Support Engineer role at Insight Global involves working in a control center for a large utility company, focusing on the transition from OSI SCADA to GE SCADA. Key responsibilities include creating DNP3 points in the SCADA system, modeling SCADA devices, and assisting field engineers with equipment checks. Responsibilities

• Create DNP3 points in the SCADA system.
• Model SCADA devices and assign alarm settings.
• Establish communications via IP.
• Assist linemen and substation engineers with point checking of reclosers and substation equipment.
• Collaborate with a small team of engineers in a control center.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or 3+ years of equivalent experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• 2+ years of professional working experience in a technical environment (computer programming, engineering, math, SCADA technologies, etc.).
• Experience with SCADA systems (especially OSI SCADA or GE SCADA).
• Professional working experience with ADMS, OMS, or DMS systems.
• 2+ years of technical knowledge in the electrical utility industry.
