About the position
The Living with Grief Group Contract Facilitator is a licensed mental health professional responsible for leading therapeutic support group sessions for individuals affected by cancer. This role involves facilitating discussions, providing individual counseling, and helping group members navigate their experiences with grief and recovery. The facilitator will also be involved in educational workshops and other related programs, all while adhering to the philosophy and methodology of Cancer Pathways Midwest.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate weekly Living with Grief support group meetings.
- Encourage group members to share their cancer-related experiences.
- Assist members in gaining knowledge and information to actively participate in their treatment and recovery.
- Conduct pre-group interviews and customized membership plan meetings as requested by the Program Director.
- Provide individual support sessions and back-up facilitator coverage for other support groups.
Requirements
- Licensed Mental Health Professional (MSW, LSW, LCSW, MFT, or Clinical Psychologist) in the State of Indiana.
- Strong clinical skills with experience in individual and support group settings.
- Ability to work with issues surrounding chronic and life-threatening illness.
- Documentation of licensure and malpractice insurance.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
