About the position

The Support Services Coordinator at AccessAbilities, Inc. is responsible for leading a team of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide high-quality care to individuals with developmental disabilities. This role involves managing a caseload, ensuring compliance with standards, and advocating for the rights of individuals receiving services. The coordinator will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to optimize service outcomes and foster an inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to serve individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Manage a caseload of individuals supported by DSPs, including completing assessments and quarterly summaries.
  • Create individualized outcome tracking programs that promote desired life outcomes for individuals.
  • Attend quarterly and annual meetings with interdisciplinary teams to discuss services and outcome optimization.
  • Supervise, support, train, and develop Direct Support Professionals.
  • Ensure services align with standards set by the Council of Quality and Leadership (CQL).
  • Foster and encourage natural supports for individuals receiving services.
  • Advocate for individuals' rights and ensure they receive the highest standard of care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the human services field preferred.
  • Experience working with the Indiana Medicaid Waiver preferred.
  • Willingness to drive to and throughout the greater Indianapolis area.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as necessary.
  • Ability to collaborate with local agencies and co-workers.
  • Professionalism in building rapport and handling difficult situations.
  • Acceptable driving record and valid auto insurance coverage.
