About the position

The Support Services Supervisor at the Regional Center of the East Bay is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of support staff, ensuring that the department meets its objectives. This role involves supervising staff, coordinating workflows, and providing technical support, all while maintaining compliance with agency regulations and safeguarding client records. The position aims to enhance the quality of services provided to individuals with developmental disabilities in the community.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise assigned staff and coordinate day-to-day workflow to meet department objectives.
  • Interview, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate performance of assigned staff.
  • Provide necessary staff support during vacancies or scheduling conflicts.
  • Monitor staff workload and coordinate completion of required reports.
  • Research, gather, analyze, and report statistical data.
  • Provide technical support to staff as required.
  • Ensure office supplies and equipment are maintained at acceptable levels.
  • Support Case Management units and Clinical team with workflow and day-to-day tasks.
  • Oversee closed/inactive files and maintain accurate records.
  • Safeguard client records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Act as point of contact for manager as needed.

Requirements

  • Three years of administrative experience required.
  • Staff supervision experience including performance evaluation preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, plan, and coordinate workflow.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a group.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail are a must.
  • Experience troubleshooting office equipment (copiers, printers, and postal machine).
  • Demonstrate cultural awareness and sensitivity to work effectively with culturally diverse populations.
