About the position

The Support Specialist at Vizient, Inc. is responsible for providing application support for all enterprise solutions. This role involves ensuring that both internal and external users receive proactive support through standard ticketing processes while adhering to service level agreements (SLAs). The specialist will conduct root cause analysis on various applications across multiple platforms to identify problems and implement long-term solutions. Collaboration with end users, business partners, and development teams is essential to fulfill these responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain solutions to complex technological needs.
  • Inform management of technical trends and emerging technology.
  • Interpret requirements for complex situations and provide technical specifications and solutions that align with technical strategies.
  • Lead and conduct testing that thoroughly exercises the functionality of the product or issue resolution for small teams.
  • Manage multiple, small or medium projects among multiple teams or departments.
  • Propose new procedures and standards among multiple teams or departments by analyzing external best practices.

Requirements

  • Relevant degree preferred.
  • 2 or more years of relevant experience required.
  • Good understanding and knowledge of IT products and services to assist internal users, members, suppliers, and/or computer operations preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, detail-oriented, customer service, presentation and problem-solving skills preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Power Point, Word, etc.) preferred.
  • Working knowledge with SQL preferred.
  • Understanding of Microsoft IIS, .NET and TFS preferred.
  • Knowledge of supporting tools and architecture including but not limited to SOAPUI, C#, SSIS, MVC, Entity Framework, HTML, JavaScript & CSS preferred.
  • Understanding of BI and Analytics tools such as MicroStrategy and Tableau.
