About the position

The technician operates under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, fulfilling two primary roles: as a mobility assistant and as unit desk support. Responsibilities

• Assist with patient mobility using specialized lifting equipment.
• Manage the nurse call system and respond to patient needs.
• Answer telephones and communicate effectively with staff and patients.
• Stock supplies and equipment to ensure availability for nursing staff.
• Maintain a clean and uncluttered environment of care.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Demonstrated computer experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Excellence in public contact skills, including respect and courtesy.
• Ability to problem-solve and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Dependability and ability to work as a team member.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
• Understanding of medical terminology.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous clerical or nursing assistant experience preferred.
• College degree preferred.
