Responsibilities

• Overseeing the accounts payable department and ensuring all tasks are completed on time.
• Driving continuous improvement in processing and AP data management.
• Training and supervising the Accounts Payable Staff.
• Processing vendor invoices in accordance with GAAP and SOX compliance.
• Processing payment runs and recording wire payments through AP.
• Resolving invoice and payment discrepancies.
• Reconciling accounts payable subledgers to the general ledger.
• Processing the yearly escheatment.
• Providing GAAP accounting support for AP related accruals.
• Performing the monthly closing of the accounts payables books.
• Preparing and processing 1099 information at year-end in adherence to IRS regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or educational equivalent.
• 5 years of experience in accounting.
• Broad knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• CPA preferred.
