As a Supervisory Facility Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and management of facilities within a large Navy installation. Your role will involve assigning tasks and priorities to employees, ensuring that facilities maintenance and asset management are executed efficiently and effectively. In this position, you will represent the organization in meetings, providing and exchanging information related to facilities maintenance, repair, construction, planning, and programming. You will prepare written reports and deliver oral presentations to senior leadership and various departments and organizations. Leading the execution of facility condition assessments and developing maintenance execution plans for the long-range sustainment of facilities and structures will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will also supervise and manage multiple employees to accomplish facilities maintenance and repair, as well as project planning. Additionally, you will administer service contracts and manage special projects by developing cost estimates. Determining facility requirements to develop and repair buildings, structures, utilities, or grounds will be essential. You will also administer facility maintenance programs, service contracts, and logistics programs for the organization, conducting surveys or studies to contribute to the creation or improvement of preventive maintenance programs.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
  • Must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
  • Required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
  • Must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft.
  • Required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • Required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • Required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
