About the position

The Grant Management Supervisor at CCRC is responsible for overseeing a team of Grant Accountants in administering grants and contracts, ensuring compliance with funder requirements and enhancing operational efficiency. This role involves direct supervision, hiring, training, and performance evaluation of team members, as well as acting as the primary liaison between program directors, management staff, and funders. The position plays a crucial role in managing the fiscal aspects of various program areas, including Head Start and Family Well Being, while also exploring innovative solutions such as AI to improve financial processes.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct the work of Grant Accountants assigned to the team and program area.
  • Oversee and manage all fiscal aspects of the assigned program area.
  • Assist in hiring, onboarding, and training of new staff; provide direction and oversight to each staff member.
  • Design and implement finance processes and procedures to improve efficiencies and workflow.
  • Explore AI features or modules to streamline processes and improve financial reporting.
  • Maintain the agency's Cost Allocation Plan and ensure compliance with funder requirements.
  • Complete ad hoc projects and perform research and analysis as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or a Bachelor's degree in business with an emphasis in accounting or finance required.
  • 8+ years of work experience in accounting, including preparation of financial statements.
  • 2 or more years in a Supervisory capacity, preferably in nonprofits.
  • Solid knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and OMB Circulars.
  • Experience with government funding and grant report requirements.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel and Word; proficient in all other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Extensive experience with computerized accounting systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • C.P.A. or M.B.A. preferred.
  • Previous audit and budgeting experience.
  • Working knowledge of Abila Fund Accounting and Adaptive Insights.
