About the position

The Security Command Center Supervisor is responsible for leading the Security Command Operators and collaborating with the Corporate Security Team to implement a comprehensive physical security program. This role oversees daily operations of the security command center, ensuring regulatory compliance and safeguarding company assets. The supervisor will also focus on training and developing both new and existing employees within the Security Command Center.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct supervision to Security Command Operators and establishes individual goals.
  • Responsible for real-time physical security monitoring and initial response actions.
  • Establishes clear goals and direction for the Security Command Center.
  • Ensures all SCC shifts are adequately staffed 24/7/365.
  • Performs After-Action Review of Security Command Operator responses and work products.
  • Leads SCC Training & Exercise Program and coordinates activities with internal resources.
  • Coordinates with the Corporate Security Team on policies and procedures impacting SCC activities.
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement and advancement of the SCC.
  • Oversees or provides support to key initiatives and projects impacting SCC.
  • Ensures routine testing and assessment of security systems for availability and functionality.
  • Identifies relevant intelligence or security information and disseminates appropriately.
  • Ensures adherence to electric utility related regulatory and security procedures.
  • Provides subject matter expertise and performs after action reviews for security related events.
  • Represents SCC within the Company and on external working groups and committees.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Criminal Justice, Public Safety Administration, Security Management, Homeland Security, Emergency Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in utility security operations or real-time security monitoring of critical infrastructure.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience.
  • Ability to partner cross-functionally across the organization with strong relationship building capabilities.
  • Strong operational knowledge of security systems such as PACS, VMS, IDS, and associated hardware.
  • Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with a high degree of professionalism.
  • Strong collaboration and conflict management skills.
  • Self-motivated, highly dependable, and able to prioritize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with incident response and familiarity with the Incident Command System (ICS).
  • Experience in the development, execution, and evaluation of training using HSEEP principles.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding security matters.
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance programs related to the security of critical infrastructure.
  • Understanding of federal regulatory compliance programs related to the electric utility environment (FERC, NERC, etc.).
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
