About the position
The Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Manufacturing Engineer at Signum, LLC is responsible for planning and designing manufacturing processes for the electronics production line. This role focuses on optimizing productivity, evaluating systems, and providing training and support for manufacturing systems.
Responsibilities
- Utilizes statistical methods to optimize productivity of a surface mount assembly line.
- Evaluates mechanical and electromechanical systems and products by designing and conducting research programs, applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials.
- Confirms system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods, testing properties.
- Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components.
- Provides training and ongoing support on manufacturing systems.
Requirements
- BS degree in engineering or related field with 2-4+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering as applied to surface mount electronics.
