About the position

The Surface Ship Modernization Program Manager II is responsible for providing programmatic support services to the NSWC-PD Department 20 Machinery Programs and Platforms. This role involves financial management, risk management, and oversight of various modernization initiatives, ensuring quality and timely delivery of projects. The position is telecommuter-friendly for qualified candidates located within commuting distance of Norfolk, VA, or Philadelphia, PA.

Responsibilities

• Provide programmatic support services to NSWC-PD Department 20 Machinery Programs and Platforms.
• Specialize in financial management and risk management.
• Track status of various ongoing initiatives including Regional Maintenance Center (RMC) Modernization Coordination Office, material, modernization-related travel plans, deliverables, action items, system safety plans, shipboard testing, quality assurance issues, and schedule/dashboard development and maintenance.
• Assist with data calls and provide meeting support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in any technical or managerial discipline.
• Minimum ten (10) years in program/project management including engineering, financial management, risk management, scheduling, planning, and oversight task progress.
• 5 years of experience in Department of Defense or U.S. Navy programs or operations.
• Active security clearance at the SECRET level.
