About the position

The position is responsible for researching, analyzing, planning, educating, implementing, communicating, and evaluating performance improvement projects that support the perioperative quality and safety plan. The individual in this role will demonstrate proficiency with performance improvement and research methodology, data analysis, and the presentation of data to all organizational stakeholders. This position will assist leadership and operational management with the planning and implementation of ongoing process improvement initiatives. Additionally, the role involves partnering with Parkview Research to identify potential research projects focused on achieving desired outcomes for improved patient health and outcomes. The individual will be tasked with developing, planning, and coordinating education for staff in order to close action planning gaps. Furthermore, the position includes managing the data registry for surgical patients and optimizing meeting coordination to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Research and analyze performance improvement projects related to perioperative quality and safety.
  • Plan and implement ongoing process improvement initiatives in collaboration with leadership and operational management.
  • Educate staff on performance improvement methodologies and action planning.
  • Partner with Parkview Research to identify and develop research projects aimed at improving patient health outcomes.
  • Manage data registry for surgical patients and optimize meeting coordination.

Requirements

  • Must have a BSN from an accredited program (CCNE, ACEN, or CNEA).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience required.
  • Valid Indiana Registered Nurse license required.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Good data management skills, attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Lead Six Sigma Black Belt preferred or willing to obtain.
  • Nursing certification preferred or to be obtained within one year of hire.
  • Experience with projects, performance improvement, and data analysis.
