About the position
The Surgical Technologist (TECH) position involves working days with on-call responsibilities, providing essential support in surgical settings. This role is crucial for ensuring that surgical procedures are conducted smoothly and efficiently, contributing to patient care and safety.
Responsibilities
- Assist in surgical procedures by preparing and maintaining the sterile field.
- Handle surgical instruments and supplies during operations.
- Ensure the operating room is properly equipped and organized before, during, and after procedures.
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other medical staff to ensure optimal patient care.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and safety of the surgical environment.
Requirements
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist from an accredited program.
- Experience in a surgical setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle on-call duties.
