About the position

The Surgence Business Development Manager at Concordance Healthcare Solutions is responsible for generating leads, engaging potential clients, and setting appointments for the sales team. This role is crucial for driving business growth by identifying new sales opportunities and building relationships with prospects. The position can be based in any Concordance location or performed fully remote, and it involves working closely with the sales and marketing teams to strategize and improve lead generation efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively source, qualify, and manage new business leads using various channels, including cold calling, emails, social media, and networking.
  • Effectively engage potential clients to schedule appointments for the sales team with qualified leads.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the company's products or services to communicate value propositions to prospects accurately.
  • Maintain and update the CRM system with detailed information on interactions, follow-ups, and lead status.
  • Consistently follow up with leads to nurture relationships and move them through the sales pipeline.
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to strategize, track, and improve lead generation and appointment-setting efforts.
  • Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly quotas for calls, leads generated, and appointments set.
  • Develop rapport with prospects and nurture relationships that lead to business opportunities.
  • Conduct research to identify decision-makers and understand market trends to target leads effectively.
  • Provide regular reports to the sales manager on lead quality, appointment success rates, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Healthcare and Supply Chain experience is preferred.
  • Proven experience as an Inside Sales Representative, Telemarketer, or Appointment Setter.
  • Previous experience in lead generation and appointment setting (B2B/B2C) is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent phone manners and the ability to engage prospects.
  • Ability to build rapport quickly with new contacts.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Goal-oriented and highly motivated with a competitive drive.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Persistent, proactive, and results-driven attitude.
  • Adaptable to changes and open to feedback.
