About the position
Apex Vascular is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join their outpatient-based vascular surgery practice in Lenoir City, TN. The role involves supporting patient care, managing front desk responsibilities, and ensuring efficient clinic operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be dependable, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Covering the front desk and greeting patients as needed.
- Proactively fulfills patient care responsibilities as requested or needed by physician or other clinicians in the physician office.
- Fulfills environmental responsibilities as assigned that may include setting up exam room, walking patients to ultrasounds, etc.
- Contribute to providing an efficient flow of patients through the clinic.
- Obtaining patient vital signs/blood draws, etc.
- Charting procedures.
- Updating and entering medical history/information to patient charts.
- Effectively coordinates activities in support of departmental operations.
- Assist with patient prep/pre-op.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- At least one (1) year of experience working in a medical facility as a Medical Assistant or similar health care experience.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with EMR systems (1 year preferred).
- Certified Medical Assistant certification (preferred).
