About the position

The Surgery Specialty Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily functions and processes of the Specialty Programs within the General Surgery service line. This role focuses on continuous development, evidence-based process improvement, and ensuring compliance with regulatory agency requirements. The manager will support clinical policies, maintain accreditation standards, and facilitate program development and implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily functions of the Specialty Programs within the General Surgery service line.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation standards of insurance payors and national accrediting agencies.
  • Assist in managing the accreditation process and continuous compliance with program requirements.
  • Serve as a liaison between the institution and the General Surgery Subspecialty programs.
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of new general surgery related services.
  • Organize and manage data collection and statistical analysis of data.
  • Develop and update general surgery patient education materials.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Department for program materials.
  • Update procedures and processes to meet best practices.
  • Consult with internal and external leaders on general surgery needs.
  • Facilitate monthly General Surgery Subspecialty support groups.
  • Oversee the Bariatric Protein Product line including inventory and sales management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Nutrition Related Field.
  • 2 years of experience working in the clinical environment with General Surgery subspecialties.
  • Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse or Registered Dietitian by the State of South Carolina.
  • Certification within a General Surgery Subspecialty within 2 years of entry into the role.
