About the position
This locum tenens position is for a cardiovascular and thoracic surgeon in Louisiana, offering an opportunity to provide critical surgical care while covering shifts that include 24-hour call coverage. The role involves performing various cardiovascular and thoracic procedures, including CABGs and managing patient rounds and consults.
Responsibilities
- Provide 24-hour call coverage shifts from 7 AM to 7 AM.
- Handle rounds and consults for cardiovascular and thoracic patients.
- Perform CABGs and other cardiovascular and thoracic procedures.
- Manage chest tubes and other related tasks.
Requirements
- Board certification in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery.
- Active medical license in Louisiana or ability to obtain one.
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system.
