Responsibilities
- Manages tasks related to booking hospital procedures.
- Demonstrates a pleasant phone voice and effective communication.
- Works in a detail-oriented environment.
- Performs duties related to patient care in a team-based care and integrative health environment.
- Competency in all skills related to providing exceptional patient care.
- Handles front office duties including greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling patients, and verifying insurances.
- Demonstrates knowledge of insurance issues affecting patient care.
- Secures prior authorizations and authorization for procedures.
- Ensures necessary medical record information is present for procedures, including medical clearance if needed.
- Works collaboratively with hospital personnel to ensure procedures are booked, providing a seamless process for patients.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of physician office scheduling experience.
- Clinical experience preferred.
