About the position

The Surgical Services Associate plays a vital role in the Operating Room by assisting in the individualized care of patients to help them achieve their highest level of wellness. This position involves performing clinical procedures and non-clinical support tasks while working cooperatively as part of a team under the direction of the perioperative leader.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the individualized care of patients in the Operating Room.
• Perform designated clinical procedures and non-clinical support tasks essential to patient care.
• Work cooperatively with team members to achieve group goals.
• Utilize unit-specific technology for daily tasks and communication.
• Participate in Quality Improvement activities to enhance patient care quality.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds regularly.
• Prolonged standing and walking required during shifts.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
